I've recently been taking some bug reports on my site because Apple can't seem to update apps without losing the data in some cases. Apple, let people know that this is YOUR bug so that we aren't getting constant bug reports about it.</rant>

Some apps don't lose data when updated. So it seems like it might be just your bug... not sure... maybe... its apple...

There's no way this is my bug (or Enigmos, or Facebooks, or a ton of other apps that this is happening to). Most of my users update fine, some report data loss. Since my app is not running during the update process there's no way it could cause it. App quits and all data is there...updated...default data only. That's an Apple bug.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the app. It is the firmware/update process.

I have had three users report they lost their data after doing "update all" in the App Store app on the device, but I know that it works fine if you specifically select my app and then press update.
