Selling an X?

If so, what is your willing price to part.

If it is $600 or less, maybe try to do the Apple GiveBack and take $525 and save yourself the hassle?

It's a 7, sim-free and 256GB. I just checked Apple's trade-in value and it's $200. They don't seem to care about the capacity or that it's sim-free. On eBay, they're going for about $400, so it's worth the hassle.

I should also add that in the past, I've mostly been lucky and able to sell it on craigslist thereby avoiding eBay fees and shipping.

Well take pics WITH the glare or light reflection so that you can point out the scratch level if there are any. Then take a pic with a dark background behind the phone to cut down the glare.

I read the opposite about the latter photo. Regardless, no matter what I do, dark background or dark foreground, there's a reflection. I go through the same baloney every time I sell my phone. I know there are devices that you can buy to prevent this, but this is an one time thing. Thanks for the input though.

I mean you need diffused lighting to illuminate what you are shooting from multiple angles. There is a whole art to product photography and Apple makes that obvious in their product pictures.

Not to highjack this thread.. but are their any good alternatives to craigslist/swappa/eBay/Facebook marketplace? Lol

Take a photo at an angle, focused on the screen so they can see if there are any scratches or cracks. It's okay for there to be a reflection. Then take photos with the screen on.

What's wrong with Swappa? I've had great luck there.

I feel like it’s slower paced. I’m used to selling iPhones/iPads in a day or 2.
