Taking Pictures and Adding Notes in Real Time

I'm probably doing this all wrong so someone please help here

If I'm taking pictures with my Iphone and want to Add notes on it (in this case - tool meter readings on circuits)
I'm doing this in the most inefficent way

take pic
Send to mac via BT
Take Pic Insert in Word Doc
add noted

45 seconds - 2 minutes later, as I'm in the same spot and want another (pic) for note taking reference.
I'll do the same

Rinse and Repeat

Sometimes I will do a batch and just do it offline but depending on the situation, I may want to take notes relative to the pic

I do have a IPP but have never tinkered with doing camera pic and inserting in word app on IPP in the same process.

You can add text on the picture from the iPhone as soon as you take it. when you take the picture a little thumbnail picture shows in the bottom left of the screen. Tap the thumbnail and the tap Edit on the bottom of the screen. Then 3 dots in a circle will show at the top of the screen, tap and select Markup.. next tap the plus button and select Text, now you will see a text box on the picture.

Yeah, but I don't want to add text. I do want the original unmodified . I just need to do some -on site notes of what pic I am taking- in that exact moment as 45 seconds later....on the next pic, the (readings on my meter will fluctuate)

you could duplicate the photo, but you can always just email the photo to yourself by taping on the thumbnail after taking the picture and the use the Share box to email to yourself with the notes in the email with the picture

Maybe this would work for you:

1. Take Pic
2. Tap thumbnail to open in Photos app
3. Swipe up on photo
4. Tap “Add a Caption” and enter your info

Anytime you want to reference what you wrote just open the photo in the Photos app and swipe up, and the text will appear below the photo.
