So I went into a store today and was browsing the open items section. Ya know, where things are discounted because they were returned open?

Well, I stumble upon a 3 year Apple Care discounted from $250 - $199.99. It hadn't even been opened!

Purchased it, registered it, saved $50.

They were probably trying to get rid of it because Apple isn't doing physical software anymore.

AppleCare isn't exactly software. Apple actually changed their policy about a year ago and nowadays you MUST have the box and a PROOF OF PURCHASE. That happened because many were selling fake AppleCares on eBay which just included a generated code.

Since Apple did that, I don't see them removing physical AppleCare anytime soon. The only way to get it without the box AFAIK is to include it when buying

Yeah, but at the store they sell brand new copies of Apple Care as well. Literally all they had to do was put it back on the shelf because the item hadn't even been opened. They just took $50 off since it was returned for no reason.

Either way, I was happy I found it so I had to make a thread about it to brag.:D
