Talk about lucky!

So recently, i purchased a MacBook Pro 2.2GHz Refurb off the apple site.

And, bless apple... it came with an extra gig of RAM! 3GB total! I was so surprised to find out, and i never thought it would happen! I had an iBook G4 which was succeeded by an alienware gaming laptop, but this is a great re-introduction to apple's Mac OSX.

Has anybody else had this kind of luck?

Not personally, but I have heard of people receiving free (and unexpected) upgrades on refurbs before.

I was lucky on my Power Mac G5. I got double the memory (from 512MB to 1GB) and a larger HDD (250GB instead of 160GB). A very happy refurb customer, indeed.

This happens to a lot of refurb purchasers. My Macbook hard drive got bumped from a 60GB to an 80GB.

I've been lucky twice.

A powerbook (last gen) i had got a 100GB 7200 RPM free upgrade instead of the 80GB 5400 RPM listed

A BlackBook Core Duo came totally maxed out with 2GB of RAM and 120GB HDD instead of 1GB (2x 512MB) and 80GB respectively.

I love refurbs

I got a good price on a referb, but UPS has delivered it to someone else over 1 hours drive away. No idea who it is, just says a name and another city on the tracking info. Apple has been informed, and they said they would refund my money, but I want my MacBook !!! No others on the site at the moment.

Now as I had already purchased and received (today) 2 GB of ram from Crucial for the new toy Im a bit miffed. Anyone want some ram?

Hee Im happy again. UPS got off there backsides and collected my MacBook from the wrong address and got it to me today. No extras to the spc of the MB but there was a copy of iLife 08 in the box (which I happened to order at the same time as the MB so I now have 2 copies!)
