Talk to text is a mess now. It never listens and understands what is being said and then why show a huge microphone and a tiny keyboard button to switch back to the keyboard. In the past the keyboard just stayed up. of course we need the keyboard to correct the ****** talk to text

Are you using an external microphone for dictation (talk to text) such as a wired / bluetooth headset?
any background noise during dictation (music, ambient office sound scaping noise being high - sounds like running water in a sink 15ft away or like AC is running)?

Any other conditions happening or does this occur everywhere?
Does Siri has problems understanding commands?

I haven't experienced any deficiencies with Siri talk to text, but I am with you about that little keyboard. When completing a sentence or paragraph and left enough of a pause, it used go "bink" and then return to the full keyboard, as you mentioned, to allow for corrections. I used this all the time. And now I have to tap that stupid little keyboard in order to make the inevitable corrections.

Whenever I say the word “sir” it thinks I said “Sara.” Drives me nuts. My boss wonders why I keep calling him Sara.
