I currently have a D60 and my primary lens is a Tamron 28-300mm which I do like. I also have the Nikon kit 18-55mm VR lens which I rarely use. I noticed that the Tamron 18-270 has started to ship and Ive been tempted by it as a replacement. I thought that I had read somewhere that since the 28-300mm isnt really designed for the D60 Im not getting the full 300mm zoom; It had something to do with the smaller sensor size and it being a Di lens, not Di-II I honestly dont fully understand all of that so thats part of the confusion.
With the new 18-270mm being available and more designed for smaller sensor cameras would I be benefiting at all by getting the new lens? To me a big bonus is having one lens that replaces my 2 current ones, and if Im not sacrificing the zoom its definitely worth it (Id think)>.
Hopefully I didnt confuse anyone..
