I will be travelling to the far east soon and would like to carry my 13mbp and canon dslr with 3 lens in total.
I wanted something that doesn't "scream expensive equipment inside".
I currently have a small lowepro just for my dslr. It serves its purpose here in the city.
I came across the tamrac aero 85
http://www.tamrac.com/3385.htm

I liked that it will conform to the Airline baggage standard

then i came across the lowepro
http://products.lowepro.com/product/Fastpack-250,2086,14.htm

They both are almost alike.

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on their expereince if they have used it.

Both seem like decent bags but for your needs take a look at the Kata DR 467, or the smaller one. The DR467 is rated up to a 17inch laptop but there are smaller models in their line and they do not scream camera bag or expensive equipment. To me it looks like a regular backpak. I just bought the DR467 because I need to take my 13 MB and D80 with me to Toronto and NYC, and my Lowepro Flipside 200 just isn't big enough for long trips. Also the Kata is a bit cheaper than your two options, and until the 31st comes with a $15 mail in rebate. But the Aero 85 looks nice with the dual access, which can come in handy in close quarters.. In typical Lowepro fashion the Fastpack looks too modular and square for my taste, but then again I do own a Flipside 200... The only thing that I do not like is the side only access to the Lowepro, it seems like its just asking for an accidental fall. The Aero 85 seems a lot better in that area and it does fit a 17 inch laptop instead of a 15.4.
