I am a primary tap user, but most of my friends insist on keeping the default click button usage. Is there something wrong with tapping the trackpad to click or am i just being paranoid?

Nothing wrong at all. I just prefer to click, I found that the trackpad detected the "tap" too often, and I clicked when I didn't want to etc...

I don't think that there is anything wrong with tapping to click. personally I don't like having it on, but if you like it better there is no reason to be paranoid.

I've had my Tibook for a long time now and turned on the tapping option at the very begining. Nothing wrong with using it (and less clumsy than the big button IMHO), a gentle tap is all it needs so it shouldn't wear anything out if you don't abuse it. :)

I hate tapping - i always seem to do it when i don't want to, so i turn it off.
I love the two finger right-click though!

One thing I dislike about tapping is if you enable dragging, after dragging something, you have to wait for a sec for it stay or else you can still drag whatever it is you're dragging. (clumsy sentence i know :x)

I click the button. However, whenever someone tries to use my computer they always ask why it won't click as they're pounding away at my trackpad. I have to point out the huge button below the trackpad to most people becuase they can't find it. Maybe the people at my school are not a good representation of the population but is it really that hard to figure out :p?

I click the button, though jsut because i have gotten used to it, i find tapping simpler, though i accidently clicked on things to often, so i disabled it.

Tapping all the way. You should see me on my fiancee's Dell, which has neither two finger right click, nor tap clicking... *shudders*

I usually tap... but I think there might be something a little off w/ my trackpad so sometimes rather than trying to tap a third or fourth time I'll just cave and 'click.'
