I agree, really slick looking interface and one of the best I've seen.

It reminds me of [app]WeightBot[/app] by Tapbots.

And this app suffer of one major problem. QUANTITY !

I eat a big boll of cereal in the morning and a very small portion of meat for dinner... So does that mean it's 50% Grain and 50% meat for the day ???

Hi Pika,

Foobi works by tracking Serving Counts. So if you had only 1 serving of cereal (grain) and 1 serving of chicken (poultry), your total servings for the day would consist of half grain and half poultry. If you had more than one serving of cereal, it would be 2 servings instead of 1.

In the end though, Foobi is still a tool. It is up to you to find out what's the best diet for yourself!

Thanks for the awesome feedback so far!

Foobi 1.0.1

While we are getting a lot of great positive feedback from our website, we need some of that in the App Store.

We are also aware that Foobi in the AppStore is only compatible with OS 3.12. A patch today has been submitted to correct this, in addition to some rare bug fixes, and an improved icon (on device).

Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

It will help us more if you ask your questions in this thread, as opposed to sending us a message via our website.

It's incredible apps like this that make me wish I could make apps also. Beautifully designed, very slick interface, does the job in a simple way.

Great work and I just might give this one a shot! I need to do a better job tracking my food.

Foobi 1.0.1, and $0.99 SALE!

For a long time we had thought that Apple might have rejected our app since it had been in the "In Review" status for so long. If you have used Foobi before, you'll notice that there's a lot of custom UI controls, some of which are only possible via private API calls. Foobi was approved in minutes after sending an email to Apple (asking about the status, private APIs, etc).

Foobi 1.01
As promised the 3.12 barrier is now gone. Now compatible with 3.0 iPhone or iPod touch. Also included is an updated icon.

New icons, colors and UI changes are due on the next version, which should be submitted shortly.

We are having a $0.99 SALE!
Price should be reflected soon!

New Review

We have yet another great review, now from MacStories.

Overall, Foobi is what every utility should look like: it’s simple, awesome and useful. If you’re that kind of person who doesn’t remember the foods you ate, or you just want to realize how many servings you ate and when, Foobi is aimed at you.

Just a reminder, $0.99 sale ends at the end of this week.

Foobi is now Free till the end of the month!

Happy holidays everyone.

PS: 1.1 should be ready anytime now. Had some nasty bugs to iron out sorry it took a long while.

ya know I saw this when you did the original post and thought it was such a great looking UI, the only reason i didn't get it was I was already vested in another site/app for the last 4 years... I was kind of bummed because you app looked sweet....

but heck for free I have to pull the trigger, can't wait to use it and review it in the app store..... (not free as of yet, but it's probably iTues Store lag)

EDIT: ok it's free now....thanks
