Starting at 12 AM Thursday, Target's online site had iPads on sale.

Some prices:

Ipad Air 2: $274-374
Ipad Pro 9.7: $449-649
Ipad Pro 9.7 Wifi + Cellular: $579-779

So far no discounts on the iPad Pro 12.9, cases, or accessories like the pencil.

Just ordered a 9.7" Pro 32GB - but damn, they were already sold out of silver. I thought that was the least popular color of the 4?

My guess is Rose Gold is the most unpopular and Space Gray most popular. Other sites, like B&H, show a $100 difference between Rose Gold and the other colors.

How is Space Gray still available all these hours later and silver was sold out almost immediately? Guess I can't complain for the price, but would have been nice to match my phone and not worry about silver showing through if the device scratches.

I have been trying to sell a new in box space gray 12.9 128gb cellular for $650.00 local pickup and I get people offering $400.00. I don't get it.

Because most of these are bought out by "resellers" aka craiglist warriors :) They will flood CL with their posts and will be asking crazy prices for them :) Then return when nobody buys them

I just grabbed a 9.7 125 GB for $549 at target. I was looking for an Air 2 but all sold out. I then got home and grabbed and Air 2 128GB from Best buy for $374.

Probably keeping the Air 2.

I bought same Pro and am going to give the pencil a try. I do a lot of online research and would like to annotate PDFs and write things in OneNote.

Do you know if the Apple's native application allows for annotation of PDFs?

Forgot how much I can not stand the sound vibration issue on the Air 2, so I exchanged it for the Pro 9.7 today. MUCH happier.

Nice. It's a tough call for me. Still thinking but I'm still on the iPad 3 so I'm probably deciding to do the Air 2 128GB for $374 pocket the extra $200 and save for an upgrade at a later date when the 2GB won't be enough. Enjoy.

It's a bummer that they both have the same amount of RAM, but the single core performance is twice as fast, there's 2x the GPU performance, speakers are outstanding, and the P3-gamut true tone display is a huge step ahead quality wise. All of that together make it worth the extra $175 in my opinion. And considering Apple will most likely never make another tri-core processor, the Pro will age much better and be supported longer most likely.

I just got back from Target with the $549 9.7" Pro in Space Gray! Just had to buy it now and then decide if I really want to keep it! I remember at the release it was $850.00. I still think it a bargain at this Black Friday price even when Apple discount it $100 in September! March 2017? I sure going new technology inside iPad, maybe QHD display, OLED, 4GB RAM?, A11,dual Len camera, taptic engine, newer yoch I'd, new colors, etc...
