Can someone recommend a simple "task scheduler" I guess you'd call it? I just need something with a simple GUI that will launch an app every night in the middle of the night. The only one I could find on the App Store was 4-5 years old, and one commenter said it looks like it hasn't been updated to support Catalina yet! Cron and Launchd are beyond me.

I can't be the only one who could use this, but either they're not out there, or my search-foo is weak today!

Thanks!

You could do that with a simple Shortcut.

I can on my iPad because it has Automations. But the Shortcuts app on macOS 12.01 doesn't have Automations in the Shortcuts app. It has Automator, but I can't find triggers for starting the Automation at a specific time.

Oh well, more time cruising the help docs.

Look for an app called Lingon. It's in the App Store.

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. And it's even a universal app so it will run native on my M1!

Thanks chabig!

There's Automator, it comes with the OS. Or crontab if you're up for some command line.
