Is there a task/to-do list app that displays your notes on the screen where you slide to unlock the phone? I remember seeing a screenshot for an app that was being developed, but I don't remember the name of it.

Anyone else heard of it?

i haven't heard of it. but it wouldn't be hard, you just run the program, enter your to-do list, and it creates a picture and sets it as the background. of course it wouldn't be interactive on the slider screen. but apple definitely wont allow apps that mess with the home screen/open screen/overall appearance.

With a jailbroken phone though, sure.

Another problem would be that I don't think you can even mess with the background or anything like that. That is why the nice programs like Summerboard have not showed up yet. I think it kind of stinks they wont even allow you to change the backgrounds and system sounds.
