ok i dont know if to post this here or somewhere else
but im wondering if any of you are good enought to fix up this "Tattoo" design
like make it neater more detailed, more color.. basically make it into a much better tattoo

im thinking of getting the tattoo by the end of the month, and giving it to the tattoo guy to fix i up, but im just wondering if anyone here would like to give it a try. only if you want to do it for fun.. and maybe end up having your own design in my arm haha:)

I messed arround with it for a bit. I made it more even by taking the left flower (If it is a flower) and replaced the right flower with that. Also I made the sword feathers the same. Then I made the ship/sky a little less black traced, so the borders were dark/heavy and the ship was lighter. I think the whole ship needs to be re-drawn, the sails are confusing with the sky.

is goi'n the way to shorten going?... or is it goin'?

:D

I'd go with goin' ... you put the apostrophe where the missing letters are. There are no missing letters between the i and the n, unless something different is being abbreviated than I thought!

Hmmm...goi'n could technically be ... mmm...yeah, I have no idea.

I like that, you can't go wrong with traditional tattoo designs as they'll look good forever and never change with current fashions like all this tribal/chinese symbol stuff you see absolutely everywhere.

black and grey would look nice with lots of nice shading, if you do go for colour personally I would stick with ground colours like greens, browns, blues and maybe a touch of yeloow somewhere. The only bits I don't like is the rope down the sides looks like a giant easter egg shape. You could still frame it by leaving that out and letting it fade off to the sides, I don't think that adds anything to the composition.

Where's it going by the way?

If you use google images and tattoo sites to look for your own roses / star etc you can customise it a little bit so it's a bit more uniquie to you if you wanted. Love the boat and the water though I would definatelly do that in grey/black if it were me and try not to let the rest take your focus away too much from that.

Try running a few searches on the left here for further inspiration:
