Hi guys,

I'm buying a 17 or 20 inch iMac Intel Core Duo sometime.. june/julyish. I'm going to be in CA for the month of July doing design work so I'll obviously want it by then.

Should I buy it from the apple store and have it shipped to CA? Is that even allowed? I reside in MO. Will they put a CA sales tax on me?

haha, hopefully, some kind soul will be selling their pristine iMac Intel Core Duo on here around that time. I can always dream.

Also, is the 500 gb hard drive a good deal? $300 extra.. I'll be doing intensive graphic design work -- quark, photoshop, illustrator, etc.

i went to the apple reseller last week and they told me to just get an external hard drive if i needed it.

Depends on if you need the stuff on the HD while you're traveling. If you do, you have one more thing to lug with the external drive (or make that probably 3 - drive, FW cable, powercube). Is the hassle worth the $300?
