Hi everyone,

Earlier this week I shipped out my 2018 15" tbMBP for the semi-annual keyboard replacement. This time my speakers and Touch Bar broke too! How exciting. I got a notification yesterday that my Mac had arrived in Vaughan Ontario Canada for repair! The repair was completed today, and I checked the status a couple times. Everything proceeded nicely, until this evening when I get a message saying my Mac has shipped. I'm thinking great, but when I check the repair status / Fedex shipping information it says the origin is Houston Texas.

Anyone have any idea why my Mac is being returned to me from ~2500km away from where it was repaired?

I never heard anything about being issued a new machine. I have contacted my apple care rep, however they are out of the office till Sunday. So I am hoping someone here might be able to lend some insight.

Thank you!

Yeah. I realize that once repair centre may not have had the part required, however my machine was not shipped to another facility. The repair was completed within a couple hours of intake at the Ontario facility, which is why I am confused as to why it is apparently being delivered by Fedex air from Houston Texas
