Tea spill on laptop

Recently i just dropped tea on my macbook pro screen and it trickled down to the middle partition ,immediatly i switced the system off,after two days when i started it it was working only charging was the issue,i took it apple authorised service centre they told me that charging port may be defective,after two days they informed me that logic board is not ok....
Then i asked for some other option..they informed me that one person broke his mac book pro led , he want to buy new machine and if i want i can take his logic board,it will cost around 60% of new machine also they assured that it will cover the warrenty part,
please help me out ,so confused....how to make out whether they are true in there approach,if i am not cheated...i just told them to change it..
now please advice me how to cross check them...

You could ask to see the machine the new logic board it came from? That and your old logic board.

Why not also take it for a second opinion?
 
Actually the apple service centre is very far from my home so on phone all the talks are made ,and i told them to go for another logic board,just wanted to know,is it possible to find out that the replaced logic board is mine or really they have replaced it, also please elaborate what controll apple has on its authorised service centre...is there some code sort of thing are on logic board...

When you get the computer back and it works, won't that be proof enough? Even if they don't replace it and end up finding a workaround to fix the problem you're having, would that not quell your issue as well?
 
Thats ok i want my machine in good working condition ,i just love it but they are charging a lot and also there approach was doubtfull ,end of the day only i want to assure that "Apple " brand value and customer friendly approach must not be shattered...also a doubt may not prevail in my mind ...since it will make me uneasy...whatsoever at any cist i will take my machine back...still a shadow of doubt is there...being human ...can't resist it...
 
Beer spill

A friend of mine recently spilled almost a full bottle of Budweiser on my mac book pro. First thing i did was pick it up and it immediately shut off all i could thin to do was to put it in a tent position over a fan. immediately after i was looking up what to do on my iphone and it said to take the battery out. duh.... anyways i took it in and they told me a bit of beer got onto my logic board and it would be about 1200 to replace. i cant afford that and might as well get a new one at that price. Anyways i have my mbp back now and it is working completely fine. the keyboard stuck at first but not after I broke it in. My question is.... will it continue to work, and if so for how long? Thanks and please excuse any grammar errors.

Unfortunately, that's impossible to predict. Once the circuit board becomes wet, it starts to corrode, so it's a question of where the corrosion will occur and how rapidly. It could last days (well, unlikely), weeks, months, or years (again, not too likely).
