Has anyone had the opportunity to play this on the new iMac?

Specifically, I'm considering buying my first Mac (24'' 2.8) and am curious what kind of fps I can expect at a particular resolution/settings.

I'll probably be running the 64-bit version of Vista using the Leopard version of boot camp.

Thanks!

I run TF2 Beta on my MBP (2.4, 8600 GT) and average around 60 FPS in action at 1440x900. I would expect it to be a bit less than that on the ATI card that is in the new iMac.

You may have to drop some details in certain areas, but I would guess it is playable considering the dialed-down source engine doesn't really have a huge graphics card requirement (compared to something like BioShock).

I have a new 24" iMac 2.4, and I play TF2 on it pretty much every day since it came out. It works okay, but there are a few issues with the bootcamp ATI drivers. Whenever there seems to be a lot of action going on, the game tends to freeze for about a half second to two seconds - obviously not good for a multiplayer FPS. I followed the advice to upgrade my drivers using a method found elsewhere on the forum, and this seemed to help tremendously. However, even ATI hasn't released catalyst drivers that fully utilize the new chip, even though it isn't that powerful to begin with.

For what it's worth, I've been playing at 1280x1024 w/ 4xAA in a window, and the game looks great at around 40-50 FPS. I haven't messed around with the settings much; the game may perform better fullscreen at a different resolution.
