Okay, so I've been searching alot of the forums to check if anyone has managed to get their lappys with X3100 to run Team Fortress 2. Apparently, it can. I have a 2.0 processr and 1 gig ram running vista via bootcamp. I was wondering if anyone has managed to run it using that sort of specs? I don't want to use crossover, and I can't use XP because I don't have it..

I've tried doing the dxlevel 80 thing, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm getting an average of 5-10 fps... it's soo choppy. So can anyone help?

Will getting more ram help significantly?

Right, I also have HL2 and I don't have any problems either. But for TF2, it's unplayable. Lol I can only play as sniper cause it doesn't require much moving or explosions.

I know that they have same source engines, but there's a really big difference in the FPS.

It could be my ISP, but I get on average 100?? I don't think that's too much for me to get this much lag.

Could anyone provide assistance as to how to get it to run better?

BTW: I have the base model SR MB late 2007.

If you have MacBook DO NOT USE VISTA for games.

To play TF2 on Macbook, use crossover (no windows overhead).
There are plenty of threads on this topic already.
