Does anyone play Team Fortress 2 from Valve?
I was wondering if anyone was interested in starting a macrumors team for the game?

im actually picking up my new iMac 20" 2.4 tomorrow and it will take me a while to get TF2 but once I have it i'd be all for it!

Congrats on the new iMac 20", you'll love it!
I, myself, am waiting for the new MacPros (whenever they choose to be released)

SUMMARY:
Someone already made a group. However the person who made the group seems completely ignorant on how to set the preferences. He made the group private, by invite only. So if someone else has a group name better than "Macrumors", I am all ears...

That user who created the group has pretty low score anyway, and no resonse from PM on changing group settings.

You little bitch!

How's about offering me some advice on how to do it instead of slating me?

Awesome,

Anyone else interested in becoming part of the macrumors group for team fortress 2 (or any other steam/valve game)?

Lol. It took Artofilm 1 day to discuss it and set it up properly, and it took you 25 days. Those are the facts.

Sorry you are offended, but you did not answer any PM and I assumed you are AWOL... Nothing like a kick in the balls to get things together. You should spend that angry energy on the opposite team though!!! =p

So is the MacRumors group public now?

There are not 2 macrumors groups that are open to the public.
-Blackmac (the one I just made)
-Macrumors

Either one is good, the link to mine is on this thread.

are u guys all using bootcamp?

just curious because i tried using VMWare Fusion but i kept gettin an HL.exe error and got frustrated so i just uninstalled it altogether.

i really want to play steam games, but im not sure which is the best method of playing pc games...... grrr i wish all games were relased for mac too, then my world would be perfect. :(

I can tell you that I am using bootcamp and all the games in Orange Box run pretty darn good, especially Team Fortress (max all settings).

Not sure what kind of computer you have, you using a Intel or PPC mac?

Either way Virtual PC is not going to let you play games like Orange Box, it just uses too much graphics and it most likely won't be compatible (but you've already learned that).

Just in case you were wondering, Im using a 17" iMac Core Duo 1.83 w/1.5GB ram

you guys have me doing research on this team fortress stuff ... it looks awesome i remember seeing it on GamePlay HD. i never played any half lifes but all the reviews seem to favor the game.

ill be buying leopard and the orange box tomorrow! Hopefully i'll be able to join the team.

I have a 20" iMac Core Duo 2.0 w/1GB ram. I should be ok right guys?

im going to be installing Vista ( i dont know what edition my cuzin has it). anything i should be forwarned about?

Your iMac should be fine under bootcamp. Might need more ram but that's fairly inexpensive, you can do 3gb of ram for around $50.

Don't do Vista... Get XP Corporate.

Where could i get ram for that much? any specific reason why not to use Vista or is it just a personal thing?

i would prefer XP but i dont feel like spending another 150+ when i could just get vista for free

hey check out OWC (macsales.com) they have good priced ram and they are very reliable! For 4GB (new al iMac) its like 100$ for it all so its way good =)

I only go on Multiplay.co.uk servers. They're extremely fast, don't have any silly mods or custom settings (other than an optional radio function) and skill levels vary depending on the time of day. Very good servers indeed.

I'd join but I don't have a black Mac, it's an iMac :p
