Hello Gamers,

Is there any way to install Team Fortress 2 from steam on my Mac natively or smoothly without doing bootcamp or installing windows? I honestly believe partitioning to bootcamp isnt good for my hardrive. So any help will be appreciated!

thnx!

The real key here is 'smoothly'... and CrossOver does have a performance hit for some applications.

Most reported that on macs without dedicated GPU, Source games runs better in CrossOver than native boot windows.

thing is, i have the nvidia 8600gt and for sum reason steam says that im gonna have problems running the game. halflife 2 is kinda choppy

not for source games. they actually run really well.

Then why isn't a single game in the orange box rated "gold" for compatibility on the crossover website : \

Perhaps I will download the trial this weekend though.
I purchased the Orange Box through Steam running in Bootcamp. So far the only game in the package I've played is half life 2, but I'm almost done with it and the performance has been very good. I can test it in crossover with the same video settings I use in bootcamp and see what happens....
