ToDesk is free and quite adorable for remote connection.

Microsoft Remote Desktop, as already mentioned, is probably your best bet. I also recommend RustDesk, which is as an open-source alternative to TeamViewer.

I tend to use Remote Desktop for connecting to my own devices, and RustDesk when assisting others remotely.

I would suggest Chrome Remote Desktop too...but I've had a lot of bad experiences recently (like not being able to sign-on to my work computer because sending "Control Alt Delete" feature stopped working)...
