Hi Everyone,

I have a friend trying to connect to my Mac through team viewer.

When they are connected remotely they cannot see anything but a blank grey screen on their side (instead of my desktop page) but I my side I can see them moving the cursor around on my page.

I have already attempted they other fix suggested including going into privacy setting on my Mac and then accessibility, screen recording and full disk access and ensuring team viewer is added to the list and ticked.

I have also made sure my Mac is up to date and so is TeamViewer.

None of these have worked.

Any other suggestions?
 
works here. have they rebooted? have you rebooted?

otherwise, they could try uninstalling/reinstalling the app, then making sure they have all the privacy options checked as well (i guess you could do this as well if that doesn't work).

EDIT: make sure the app is up-to-date first, perhaps... for both of you...

Thanks for your response! Tried all of those now as well and still no luck :(
 
does teamviewer work for you with anyone else? just wondering if the problem is at their end... or yours. perhaps have them try changing their screen resolution. and check teamviewer preferences; try changing the remote control prefs.

or have them create a test user account, and try connecting to that.

i've used teamviewer for years, and only a few rough moments. anyway, good luck with it.
 
If it’s still not working try out AnyDesk from AnyDesk.com, it’s free and works fine on macs. You still have to give it permission in security settings under accessibility, screen recording etc
