I recently graduated with a degree in Industrial Design (Product design for those of you who may not know
) and I am sending out teasers (basically a sorta creative card or pamphlet sorta design thing with samples of my work and just a "tease" of my real portfolio. I am basically making a few cards and attachting them at a corner so you can shuffle through them. The cards will be about the size of a 3rd of a A4 sheet of paper and go into a regular sized envelope but one that opens from the end.
ANYWAY. on to the question...
a. Would it be better to either make a card dedicated to a much shorter version of my resume (basically just my skills, last job or two, and abbreviated everything else) that size. and assume they will ask for the full thing during an interview
b. Make a "pocket" card - same size as the rest but with a sort of pocket to put my regular sized resume in folded in thirds with my business card
c. Make a card with a "fold out" resume with more detail
or... D. nix the card motif for the resume and just fold in my resume in the envelope with the card/teasers and have it be separate.
I'm sort of leaning towards A. but I am worried about truncating a resume for aesthetics.
ANY help from GD or ID or any design people who have been here and done that, or people who own firms or just basic help would be great. I'd like it from a design perspective, since a lot of other carreers don't really know about teasers and such and it's frowned upon "mask" the resume or so to speak it seems.
