Thought this was a good picture, and a nice reminder that though we all have our differences, it's a great time to be a tech lover:

Thanks for the post and for the comparison pictures. I was leaning on buying the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 but thought it was going to be as big as my iPad and so I decided to go with the 7" KF HD.

I was looking at an HTC 8X in store yesterday and that thing was gorgeous. I'm tempted to get one and try out a Windows phone but I already paid for a Nexus 4 so I can't afford it right now.

I have no compelling reason to exchange my iPhone 4S for an iPhone 5. And I am becoming more and more convinced that my iPad purchase was a waste of money, as I hardly use it for anything.

I'll certainly buy a new laptop, though, when Haswell comes out.

Great post. Can't believe how far things have come on and how much good value hardware is out there/due soon.

Each ecosystem has some real champions too. Exciting!

There should be an iPod Touch 5t gen in that picture. It's a great device.

Great picture.

There are some huge bezels there!

Seriously, I think they've all infringed on each other's bezel patents :)
We should sue them for loss of screen real estate.

Back to the OP, this is an extremely exciting time as you mention. Will be very interesting to see over the next few years. Competition makes for rapid advancements.

I think he's only showing the latest devices from each platform.

Not even, really. I just came across that photo and seeing the two families, iOS and Android (sorry, I don't really care for the Kindles, but they were part of the pic...), it just made me realize how amazing the choices are from both leading platforms.

I threw in Windows cause I know it's up and coming and a lot of people are open to the idea. Just couldn't find a nice family photo like the others.

But, I wouldn't take michaeljohn too seriously. His question regarding where the Galaxy photos are had a hint of mockery to it. I'm becoming more and more convinced he's around these forums to troll. It already sounds like he's made up his mind about staying with the iPhone 5 based on his other thread.

We're here to enjoy the good times for mobile tech at this moment.

EDIT: Anyone's free to add whatever family portraits of tech devices they want. :]

That's a great post with photos that illustrate sizes well.

As a multi-platform enthusiast, I must say I'm hooked on the Nexus Trio. Having bought the Nexus 7 & finding it fast fun & smooth, I'm awaiting delivery of the 4 & 10. They're such a bargain and Android 4.2 is a truly an excellent version.

Proving once again the value of competition and choices.

Am I the only one to think that Nexus 7 looks better than the iPad Mini?

If you like gigantic bezels. I thought Apple was bad at that but man, it's nearly twice the size of the bezel on the mini. I have had them both too by the way. Ditched the Nexus 7 for the mini. Very happy with my choice.

The lack of bezel is a common complaint since it makes the device difficult to hold on tablets. There are android tablets with a smaller bezel then the iPad, it was my only complaint with my Xoom.

You need a bezel on tablets.

I think the physical home button is antiquated but you don't see me trying to turn the thread toward that conversation. Let's not start bickering over bezel sizes now...
