I really want one of those too for my gf's ibook. I really wish they would start making different sizes.

looks like the have powerbook one coming out here really soon perhpas they will have ibook one's here in the next few months..

pics are uploading ATM

actually, sorry, i need to go ahead and figure out how to deal with this damnned camera

So is the Techshell clear? Seems like from the second picture but the first and third confuse me even though you said its because of the camera.

Has anybody else used one of these? I like the plain top compared to the speck one, but I can't find good, large close-up pictures of it. Anyone?

Thanks..

never seen one of these before...
the techshell looks like the speck plastic shell...
anyone here who has used both and can compare?
the techshell seems somehow sleeker in design than the speck on the pictures.

The Techshell cases look nice, but they're about double the price of a Speck case. IMO, the design is much cleaner though.

I have had both. I replaced the Spec for the MBP with a Techshell. The Techshell fits much better and unlike the Spec allows the MBP to open fully, the Spec does not. I also have a Spec on a MB, but on this unit the case fits much better.

As far as scratching goes I have the Spec on both comupters for months now without any noticeable damage. I have also found that I avoid dents and dings that I have recieved before on my ibooks and powerbook.

So in sum it does what it is designed to do, and serves as nice appearance boost as well. But then again, I wish I could spare the 400 or to get a Colorware custom case. They do sweet work. ;)

thank you for the detailed answer.
i guess the techshell is worth a try because i didn't like how the speck cases looked.
