Press CMD+SHIFT+5 and you'll get the macOS built-in screen recording interface. You can record the whole screen or just a potion and there's selections for where it'll pull audio and save the result.

The only complication is if you want to record system audio, that still requires 3rd party software like BlackHole 16ch I'm using here. That's a process to itself and most screen recording apps I've seen do something similar.
