I just got a replacement iPhone X. Stellar battery life. I will say privacy is more important to me than battery life. If I jump eyes first into the public betas, what’s battery life looking like?

It ALL depends on how you use your phone and what apps you have installed. I doubt that there are two exactly configured phones out there and no two people that use their phones exactly alike. For me, I have no particular battery issue on a 2020 SE or an IPP.

Xs Max here, battery life is the same as it was on iOS 13. 👌

Friend of mine installed it on his iPhone X, his loving iOS 14, no issues what so ever.

I have an iPhone 6S and it was awful. But, my battery was iffy.

Changed the battery and it last for a day+ or watching YouTube I get about 8 hours (I only know because I had to test the WIFI at work and left YouTube on).

XS Max here. surprisingly the battery life on this beta is almost the same as iOS 13 or maybe slightly worse depending of apps and optimisation but overall its basically the same.

No drastic falls in battery life; Using iPhone X, and still holds pretty much the same that I was getting in iOS 13; Overall, l like the public beta so far ..

mine's been great, so... wondering what the difference is. you're on the current PB? was it better in ios13? & have you rebooted?

Yeah, on PB3. I have rebooted. Sometimes that helps when it's taking a serious nosedive.

FB seems to be the primary culprit, but surprisingly Edge browser is in second place. Of course you can't ignore the fact that these are my 2 most use apps right now.

2 apps i don't use. but am using my phone as i was in ios13 (same apps, usage time), with no perceivable loss of battery life.

anyway, hopefully will be better as we move towards the official release!

All good in all betas, except at the beginning of 4, Music hijacked the battery. A restart fixed it though, and it hasn't happened again.
