I'm running a cpu temperature widget on my brand new macbook and wondering what's normal. I *am* aware that previous macbooks were known to have problems having to do with too much thermal paste having been applied at the factory. Did they fix that in time for my 2ghz c2duo macbook?
My temps are 50c at idle and 73c running seti@home on one core, or 75c running the yes >/dev/null in two windows. The fan runs pretty fast and I guess prevents it getting any hotter than this. The case is comfortable.
So, are these temps the temps of a "good" macbook or no? I'm not really interested in tinkering and adjusting fan speeds, etc. Just wanna know if I got a properly made machine or one of the wonky ones.
