I'm thinking of the possibility to temporarily disable one of my Mac mini's USB ports.

My intention is to connect a fan to the port, but I don't want the fan to be active all the time. And the simpliest way would be to write a script that disables the fan for one hour, then enables it for 30 minutes and so on.

Anyone, please?

No, I couldn't find any way to proceed at all. The two major problems are:

1) There's no way to disable a single port in OS X at all.
2) Even if you overcome that somehow, it's irrelevant because the port is still powered.
