So I was making a regedit for a game and I typed in my command and it asked for a password naturally I typed in my password but it wouldn't let me type anything in then I pressed enter and it said incorrect.

I'm not sure what command you'd be running because there's no regedit on a Mac, but in terminal you just type your password and press return. The terminal will not act like you're typing anything– the dots won't change, but your password will work.

As stated, you can still type when prompted for your password, it just doesn't display what you're typing (so that nobody else looking at your screen can see how long your password is).
