My terminal user appears to be connected a some random device in its vicinity. At one point it used to be another ipad.

The prompt is coming from a reverse-DNS lookup, and is just from a previous user of the address that the server hasn't cleared. You can manually set the prompt in your user's profile (bash or whatever).

If it bothers you, you can force a specific hostname with this:
sudo scutil --set HostName yourhostname

You could set it to your computer name (as shown in System Preferences → Sharing or scutil --get ComputerName)

If it is a new phone and you have just installed a new app. Fabian may be the name of the developer of the program, which has no influence. But if it is a used phone or refurbished phone, you have to clean up the user records and generate a robot name
