What is with this movie? I have tried a 720p MKV file nine ways to Sunday :apple:TV conversion in Handbrake. I get it into iTunes but it won't show up in :apple:TV. Last effort was an :apple:TV conversion on the regular DVD. Same problem, won't show up in iTunes. Every other MKV file has shown up with out fail but there is something different with this guy.

Anyone sucessfully gotten it to show up on their :apple:TV? If so please advise on what you did to get it to show up in your Movies list.

Nope there is not, I just ripped it with Handbrake 64bit and zero issues with that movie. I just ripped it to the Apple Tv setting.

I don't have Terminator Salvation, but I occasionally have problems with my Apple TV not seeing/finding some of my movies, or reporting "Format not supported". I've found that restarting iTunes (or restarting my Mac) will usually fix it, followed by a Apple TV sync. I also make sure that I manually import any movies into iTunes if they don't show up right away.

Thanks for the responses, I have tried the usual fixes, rebooting iTunes, rebooting the :apple:TV, no luck. I keep thinking there must be something with the bitrate but I have encoded this movie like 7 times now. It will play in iTunes but won't show up in my Movies list on the :apple:TV. Hmmm. I will try again.

How are you converting it. Apple TV Preset at about 65% CRF Should work fine.

I am using the :apple:TV legacy preset. Perhaps I should give that one a try tonight.

I converted the Terminator Salvation DVD using the Apple TV preset in HB 0.9.4 without any problems.

However I have had the issue of movies not appearing on the AppleTV before. That was usually because of the frame rate. Occasionally Handbrake would produce a movie with a frame rate of 36 fps, which AppleTV does not support. You can open the movie in Quicktime to check. If it's 36 fps, you'll need to force HB to 24 fps, not "same as source".
