This is a follow up to my last post where I found a video on YouTube that had a link to "java-6-dp.dmg".
To prove that this is a functioning version of java 6 Ive taken a few pictures. Download/ other info at the bottom of the post.
Here's the channel of the person who found and compiled this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfO59iTV-99z-7egsqe1C_w

"Java -version" in terminal.

Java 6 loaded in Java Preferences.

Picture 3 is of me launching the Java 6 only version of the Minecraft launcher. Ive tried 16 different launchers for the game but every single one crashes after clicking play and waiting for it to load. As I figured this wasn't a proper test I setup a Minecraft 1.6.4 server with Java 6 plugins and it loaded correctly. This leads me to suspect that's its an error with the Mac and not Java. (hardware to old?)
Edit: Minecraft 1.5.2 is the limit for Java 5.

Minecraft 1.6.4 server.

So... Leopard? Idk. Here's a link on how to force install java: http://www.kunaldua.com/blog/2006/06/18/how-to-force-reinstall-java-on-mac-os-x/ Might work, might not.

Installation for Tiger is pretty easy.
Install Java 5: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl847?locale=en_US (pretty sure that's the correct link)
Then download Java 6 from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byipe8gpgn_BNERGWlZzYkRLRUU/view?usp=sharing
Now you MUST select Java 6 in Java preferences! (like in image 2) or it will not work! There will be 2 Java preferences make sure you click the newly installed one.
Done!
If you manage to launch Minecraft 1.6.4+ please tell.
