sorry if this is not the right form section for this question. Im an not a developer but I am testing several beta apps in TestFlight.
Sometime you can purchase in app content for free while using the beta, but this is only working in iOS for me.
In macOS I always get the following message:
So are those purchases only available for US-AppStore-accounts? I can't just simply change the Store location in TestFlight. It's bind to the AppStore, what is set to Germany.
Also I get this message, when I click on "change store" and it leads to a "beach ball" when clicking on ok and I have to force quit it somehow.
Sometimes I also get update notifications in the App Store for beta apps with error message when trying to update. Can't remember what it had been, but I think it was also that wrong store thing. So TestFlight-Apps on Mac are always installed as US-AppStore-Apps and don't care about what the AppStore is set to? Is this correct? Or a I doing somehting wrong?
I am using the latest developer beta of macOS 15. But the problems started already on macOS 14 when I installed TestFlight for the first time. It was even worse back then, for weeks and months I couldn't even open TestFlight without getting an error message and don't see anything from the app list. Same on a new Mac a purchased a little later. It seems only the first few days it worked as expected. But automatic app updates where done in the background for already installed apps.
