Hi guys,

I'm thinking in borrowing a GTX680 (PC) from a friend to test on my cMP (MP4,1) with El Capitan.
However, I only have a single 6-pin cable.
Is it safe to test?
What should I expect?

My understanding is that:
- the card does not requires drivers in recent versions of OSX since the iMac13,2 has a GTX680MX (which I suppose is very similar)

Do I need to install the drivers anyway?

Thanks Fl0r!an !

Does anybody knows where can I get those cables in the EU? (outside eBay, I don't want to wait too long)

I walked into a tiny, random computer repair store on the street and asked if they had any. Feels like a lot of those places have old Mac Pros sitting around unused in the back to be cannibalized for parts – they were happy to pull one and sell it to me.

i get mine from amazon uk

680 will work in any OS past 10.7 i think

they are great cards and can be had cheap and are easy to flash and like everyone else said you need both cables. good luck
