thanks, I thought the flickr inclusion would be beneficial to have a multi-target area to allow people who saw the flickr site/images to be directed to our site aswell.

but we decided to change directions and am helping work on this new style:

with the exception of a few links not fully finished

So a few people were told to put together some ideas for the main website of the small graphic/multi-media company we work with and though this isnt WOW but its simple and uses alot of the dark/color contrast used in its works,

The purpose of the site is to use the main page to showcase their featured content/clients of their portfolio; my original idea was the links on the right were going to be preloaded in one page without going to separate pages but i wanted to get the concept done and figure that stuff out later.

The random flickr at the top will be a mini-photography gallery on each page showcasing various photography projects, this one in case is a trip to Phoenix

====

There seems to be some issues with the MouseOver actions in IE7 (and sort of in FireFox)...in IE the mouseover function shows the Second image below it instead of replacing the original image....((bizarre)).

and there also seems to be some PNG/transparency issues with IE7 mainly the image top borders (with the rounded edges)

a few of the pages arent finalized, but sort of a generalized idea and if it works out ill definitely tweak it up abit.

====

basically looking for some suggestions, critiques, and maybe any help regarding any technicalities with the website.

Thanks all!

I hope to get some feedback and hopefully might be able to tweak it up a bit to use on the site itself =)

you seem to have 2 different headers on each page?

make the top logo/header smaller and lose the 2nd logo that is inlcuded a little way down on every page its not needed. also the phoenix project links really shouldnt go to flikr thats a little amateur just put them on your own site pop up in lightview or lytebox

it just seems a bit big not tight enough the font is a little worng can't put my finger on it?

yeah the flickr originally was just going to be a random photoblog but once we all work on the final version of the site and the initial site goes live it will all be contained on the site.

im not sure about the headers, ill have to dig into those a bit more properly put them all together and uniformed.

thanks...ill take alook at the font, i used a basic stiff arial font...not 100% sure which one ill go with, as alot were sort of more bulkier for the site.

:cool:

:edit:

i was thinking of going with the style of the other sections for the portfolio/main pages
just get rid of the side navigation of the portfolio list and just put the links below the featured content, make it alittle more tighter and focused perhaps.

perhaps Helvetica as main font its a little lighter but still modern and clean looking

I agree with the above posters, I am viewing on a 17" studio display and I have to scroll down to see the full view of the slide show. I think your very top logo is fine but the header image needs to be a lot smaller horizontally. Also try and make the top logo and header be one element and then have the slide show another. Overall its really well designed, just some tweaks needed. Keep up the good work.

thank you for checking it out and your time.

yeah i tried it out on a 15" MBP and i see the enlargement of the header.
since im working on a very high resolution screen i suppose was seemingly more compensating for that adjustment then smaller screens.

ill definitely give it a tweak, thank you very much i appreciate it!

it all still seems very BIG!

you should always work to fit a screen size of 1024x768 this would be very hard to use at that resolution!

thanks all i have did alittle tweaking to the overall design and tried without compromising quality to the header ive tested it on a 15" widescreen and the projects menu seem to sit flush within the viewable page.

thanks for all your time & help! well see how it goes =)

much much much better. It is well sized now. My only other critique, and this is only really nit picking, I would like the logo on the very top bar to be more simple and less dominate, and then integrate the logo into the header design.

I dont think this would make or break you, but you can try it and see how it looks.

Also I think it would be nice to see a simple one line, in the same text as Heavy medical, Loudspeaker music, ..., for a simple description of what the piece is and what is was used for. Maybe just Title: "title" Client: "client, or use". Keep up the good work.
