So I just checked my usage data... bc I wanted to see how much data has been received and sent and I just realized that the received data for tethering is 1.0 KB. It has been 0 bytes for both sent and received until now.

The funny thing is I don't even know what tethering is or how to do it so where did this 1.0 KB come from?? Will I be charged for it?? I'm confused because it came out of nowhere. What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen again? Is there any way I could have tethered by accident? If so- how do I make sure I don't do this again? Thanks.

That doesn't show just for tethering. It also shows your data usage when using 3G, you could have used it when you check the weather or stocks app.

You have to turn edge and 3G off if you want to disable this completely.

There is a seperate meter for tethering data, and data used on the phone. What he used was tethering, although I don't know how as I thought it came off

Yes because there is a separate counter for data and tethering. My first instinct was to call AT&T and ask them about this... bad idea?
