Tether Question... (maybe a PC issue)

My tether works fine on my laptop, but I can't get it to work on my desktop. I turn tether on and look in the network connections and nothing new is there. How can I fix this?

It's a bag of hurt. I find windows sometimes works and other it doesn't.

You might have to keep trying. When I first tethered to Vista it didn't show up. I think I unplugged it a few times and then all of a sudden it worked (and working ever since).
