Tethering an iPad or MBP to a Note2?

Is there a way to use an LTE connection with VZW to tether an iPad or MBP? I have unlimited data with VZW.

Yup. I tether my riPad, and rMBP to my S3 all the time. Just download one of the apps in the app store. It's called Foxfi. If VZW took it out of the app store for you, just find the apk online and install it that way.

Doesn't VZW sell some package for tethering? I'm just thinking they must have a policy against it? Anyways, do the riPad and rMBP get the same speeds as your S3? OR by going via tether is it slower?
