Tethering on 3.1

Now that the 3.1 jailbreak is out for all devices, someone needs to find a way to get tethering working on 3.1!
 
I'd use PDAnet if they had a mac compatible driver so I could just plug in via USB and go like I can with my current 3.0.1 tethering hack via the official method.
 
where o where is mywi? i miss it so badly. I hope someone is working very hard somewhere trying to port it to 3.1......

anyway, i'm using pdanet in the meantime, and as a tethering solution it is just as good. However it doesn't create a wifi hotspot, mywi has it there..

I've never used MiWi, but it does sound good. Hope it's ported soon :eek:
 
I just wish MiWi didn't require RockApp!!!! *sigh* But PDAnet is free for people who just need it every so often to check their email or something. :D

There is a free trial period and if you're not using it regularly it's just fine.

Currious though, how much to people tether? About how many kb/mb per month?
 
sucks cuz tethering worked awesome in 3.01 on ATT... I really wish they would just re-enable it or someone find a way to get it working... having to spend $30 for an app that is reliant on jailbreaking the device just kinda sucks.

You can tether from a a friggin' flipphone why cant I tether from my iphone without jumping through firey hoops of death.

you don't need the client to make pdanet work on SL, just create a new computer to computer network using the the airport utility on your mac and pdanet on your phone will recognize it, that's it.

MyWi Works Great!

I can confirm that the latest version of MyWi works on iPhone 3GS running 3.1.2 with Itunes 9.0.1 and SL 10.6.1. Not only does it enable creating a wifi hotspot, but it also enables the native bluetooth and USB tethering. I have tested all three options and they work perfectly. This is an awesome program.

Only problem I have noticed, is the latest version seems a little buggy. Occasionally while testing, after turning of the hotspot or disingaging the native tethering, it would require me to re-spring. Not a huge deal, but I never had this problem on 3.0
 
Regarding flakyness on 3.1.10 - fixed :)

- Fix disconnect for phones running 3.0
- Fix/Repair MMS
- Fix disconnect not being able to browse the web with iPhone
- Fixed MyWi requiring respring/reboot
