Hi,

I have an iPhone 2G with firmware 3.0 (Unlocked - NOT Jailbroken). My carrier allows Tethering (used to use it with Nokia phone) and was excited about using it with the iPhone, but there is NO TETHERING OPTION !

I tried: http://help.benm.at/help.php

But it does not work! They also say that you need an iPhone 3G !

Any ideas ?? I really need the tethering to work....

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

I'm sorry but as far as I am aware officially it's a 3G/3GS feature and it is not available for 2G users.

Yeah, just figured that out! - http://digg.com/apple/iPhone_3_0_Feature_Comparision

I do not get why Apple just removed a feature out of the firmware for no reason. Its just a software-specific feature and does not need additional hardware.

Anyways, I hope there is a patch/fix released soon....
