Tethering - wireless only (no wifi)?

Using Blackra1n/sn0w and the BenM profile I have tethering option. However, it only seems to use the wireless data and not the wifi. I happen to live in an EDGE area so it's really a dog.

Am I missing something?

You're talking about tethering with wifi, where you are using the iPhone's wifi antenna to connect you computer to the internet?

I think the point is if you are in a Wi-Fi area why do you need to tether?

With tethering prior to 3.0 it used to work so I guess I was more curious than anything as to why it's not working... wondering if I did something wrong.
