Text alert and email alert tones stuttering

iOS12 iPhone 8.

Was fine before 12 update and only received phone in August.

Have seen some other reports but no solutions on older iOS. Anyone know what causes it?
It's not all the time, but getting more frequent. Tonight first time I've had it on both text and email alerts. Different sounds, so not related to one tone. It sounds like it's ill, if you know what I mean

My iPhone 8 Plus does it to. The tones glitch and stutter for msg notifications.

Was yours only after iOS 12?
Had it on the emails too, but not as much as the msg notification.
Did you update to 12.1 yet?

Annoying bug. I’ve reported it countless times and still no fix. It happened before iOS 12 for me and still going strong.

I occasionally have this issue, too, but it started back in iOS 11 for me.

Are you both on an 8 or a different iPhone? Apple asked me which apps I’d used prior which of course I can’t tell them because the answer would be ‘loads’. Also claim they’d never heard of it happening before. Doubtful
