I am looking for a text editor that has tabs and will allow me to search across multiple tabs and do a find/replace when needed.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Most editors have find and replace (I use BBEdit, Smultron or TextEdit). But probably not search across all tabs.

Thanks much for the suggestions. I downloaded BBEdit and it does indeed have a very powerful search function that lets the user search across all open docs and find/replace so after using last night it appears to fulfill my needs. Thanks again!

BBedit is like *the* text editor on Mac, even the free version is super powerful.
I am not sure about multi-tab-search, but it has a powerful multi-file-search – you basically throw a folder at it (or several) and can search them with numerous options and then view all the findings and edit right there…
