I plan on getting the 32 gig wifi only iPad and am wondering how I could possibly receive text messages on it if it's wifi only?
Is this even possible?
Is there an app that will foward texts from my iPhone to the iPad?
That would really be awesome.
I plan on using the iPad a LOT but wondering if I still have to have my iPhone close by all the time since I really don't use the phone part that much...just the texting.

Thanks...I saw that but I'm afraid I don't really understand and the OP was asking about the 3G version, not the wifi only version.
I'm kinda a noob and this...sorry.

It's okay. Basically, on the iPad from what we've seen, there is no difference in real functionality between the 3G and the Wi-Fi version (aside from downloading limits and video quality).

Now there technically is a way with the Text Unlimited, however they don't really give you a set number, I don't think. Download the free version and try sending texts to people. If the number stays the same then you can use that number to forward iPhone texts to. Course the iPhone itself doesn't have auto forwarding last I checked so you'll have to do it manually.
