Hello, I have a question about dark mode in Mac OS Mojave. I love dark everywhere except Notification center because it makes the message bubbles dark with very black text and I cannot read anything with out squinting. I prefer light mode notification center because it is still dark but had lighter text bubbles where I can read the dark text. Is there a way to exclude notification center from dark mode by use of the terminal or 3rd party app? Thank you.

You might try a little app called Night Owl but unsure if it will let you leave the Notications on light but will allow you leave app and safari in light mode

Running some sort of UI tweek program? Different fonts? My dark mode is showing text just fine (white text on dark background). And to the best of my recall, did nothing other than turn it on.

What was the solution? I am having the same issue. Was it just quitting NightOwl? Or something else?
Enter this in your terminal and force quit the notification center from the activity monitor. Hope that helps

defaults write com.apple.notificationcenterui NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool No
