Does anyone find the user experience frustrating with respect to the simple act of text selection? Put text input aside for a moment, but the mere act of selecting text for cut, copy or pasting is maddening. It is either unresponsive, expands to the end of the line or the whole paragraph or page as a undesired result of moving your finger a half of a millimeter.

I've tried several onscreen keyboards and a physical one (which obviously solves the issue when you are able to carry an extra device), but still haven't cracked the code on simple text selection.

Any tips would be appreciated, but this basic operation seems to be something that Apple and web designers could do better.

What device are you using? Is it capable of 3D Touch?

Good point. I have one device, and iPhone 6 Plus that has Force Touch, but two iPads that don't include FT. Even the 9.7 iPad Pro doesn't have Force Touch, which does help. Going to be several years before I upgrade the tablets.

I believe iPads have the special keyboard selection ability even without 3D Touch.
