Hi guys,

Just had a text from o2 offering me to top up £10 month and get unlimited text per month, all I had to do was phone 2202.

I phoned the number and it's great for us PAYG iPhone users who's free web and wifi year is running out. You change your tarrif and you can either topup £10 a month for just unlimited texts or top up £15 a month and you get unlimited texts per month AND free web per month (no free wifi I think)

I thought this is great for us payg iPhone users we have only till the 31st October to change over to the tariff

I will add a picture of the text when I get home later to prove.

hey guys is it only me so far that has had this sms from o2, i tried phoning this number from my wife SE phone as she is on o2 but not an iphone, and it gives her totally different options. The ones i get are not on the option she gets when i try it from her phone?

Been on this tariff for about 5 days now... I don't have an iPhone but it's the best tariff for my needs by far. I was on O2 unlimited before but thought I'd switch to this as it's unlimited texts to ANY network.

My landline phone has unlimited minutes so I just make short calls on my mobile and save longer ones for at home!

There is an even better deal at the moment. If you look into Text&Web, it's tariff is currently better than it should be for a while.

If you top up £15 per month, you get free Web&Wifi, unlimited texts, and free calls to other O2 mobiles.

Seems like a good deal to me, my girlfriend (who has my old iPhone 2G), has switched on to it, as she is not on contract.

Tom

Text and Web is what he's talking about... you don't get free WiFi or unlimited O2 to O2 calls though.

You do if you switch over now before sometime towards the end of October. We got a text from O2 about it a week or so ago - a special offer.

Oh right, I didn't get that offer :(

Maybe it's only for the iPhone.

It might be only for the iPhone but as far as I know, we have never contacted O2 and told them that she is using my old iPhone with her existing (had it for years) SIM.

I've deleted the text now but there was a web link as well that provided more details (I think the expiry date was the 22nd of October, and the actual "switch" will take place on your next top-up anniversary date).

I will search and try and find the link for you as I think it is one of the best value PAYG tariffs that O2 are offering at the moment, especially if you are using it with an iPhone.

Right, I've found the link and it seems like they have changed the T&C's for the tariff again since we moved over onto it. (Luckily I have a saved a copy of the T&C's from when we signed up).

Will investigate further!

That's the PAYG tariff I switched to right away, moving off the Favourite Place tariff.

Your 12 month web bolt on is unaffected, and £10 gets you free o2 to o2 texts and £15 gets you free o2 to o2 calls AND texts. And on top of that the £10 or £15 remains available as a cash balance for calling landlines, other networks, and sending MMS messages.

Brilliant deal from o2 since all my family are on o2, as are the majority of my friends.

That's not the same tariff..

O2 unlimited = £10 for unlimited o2 to o2 texts / £15 for unlimited o2 to o2 calls and texts (ie: what you are on)
Text & Web = £10 for unlimited any network texts / £15 for unlimited any network texts and unlimited web

They're different.

Looks cool, but when my free web runs out I'll be selling my 3GS and buying whatever new iPhone comes out next so I can get a fresh 12 months of free Internet :D

The one mentioned in the OP's text is o2 Unlimited, hence my reply.

The one mentioned in the OP's text is Text & Web. It makes no mention of "unlimited o2 to o2 texts," just "unlimited texts."

Plus there's the fact it says they'd like him to be one of the first to get it when O2 unlimited has been out for about a year now.

Hi Guys,

Just noticed this is now on the O2 website, for people who are not on o2 to order sims.

Here

It also gives other people on o2 to go onto this tariff aswell.

If you've already got a Pay & Go sim card with O2 and want to move to O2 Text & Web, text TEXTANDWEB to 21300 for free.
