Text message issue?

Does anyone have this issue with text messages...

Basically if I have the messages app open in the background and I receive a text, if I open the messages app it doesnt appear.

Then if I force close the messages app, the text is there???

Had this issue since getting my 12 Pro and it’s starting to annoy me now.

A suggested fix would be great?

Note: This only happens with texts not iMessages.

Apologies, as I don’t have a solution, but I think I’ve seen this once or twice. However, my real point is that we both - and anyone else with this issue - need to ditch any friends that don’t have iPhones.

Yeah I considered this as only a small % of my friends use android, so if my attempts at converting them don’t work, then it’s a no from me 😂😂😂

14.5 seems to have fixed the issue, time to go grovelling back to my android friends that I ditched 😂😂😂
